It's Every Other Friday!

And I couldn't be happier. Why? Okay, I'll tell you. It's grocery day. Yes, I am one of the few people who LOVES to grocery shop. I actually start making my menu out 2 weeks prior, then begin making my list, anticipating every other Friday when I go to the grocery store and do big shopping.
I categorize my list according to where the items are in the grocery store. I'm even "one of those people" who if I make several mistakes and the paper looks messy, I'll rewrite it just so it looks pretty. Some people might call that OCD, I call it good grocery store etiquette.

I am creature of habit when it comes to shopping...especially at Wal-Mart. I usually park in the same aisle, enter the same door and start in the same section. And usually, I'll end up going through the same cashier as well (I use the reusable bags and she does a good job of packing everything in).

I love my every other Fridays!

This is the part I don't like....why is it when after you put everything away you just bought you think to yourself one of two things, "I spent all of that for this?" or "there isn't anything to eat in this house!"

Those are clean dishes that need to be put away there in the sink.

Have a wonderful weekend. And I still can't get my cursor to not be centered. Anybody?

Oh, you are my type of organizer=). And that cracks me up about you rewriting your lists. Sometimes I look at list other people leave behind and critique their writing. But, I never touch those list...I have germ issues (ha!)But some of the things on people's lists are hilarious.

Have a blessed weekend...

I am the same exact way! I shop at Wal-Mart, enter the same door, etc. Check out my master grocery list that coordinates with the aisles at Wal-Mart:

It makes my life sooo much easier! Hope you have a great weekend!

You are sooo your mother's daughter. You forgot one thing though. No one else is allowed to write on your list. That's grounds for making another list too!

That would be so great to be that organized at Walmart! I can't imagine only going every other Friday though. I average about 2-3 times a week. :) And we still don't have anything to eat! hahaha

UGH! Will you do my grocery shopping for me? I despise every part of it...the parking, trying to push a cart through a crowded store, people stopped talking, in the way...and I HATE WalMart! I sound like grouchey smurf, don't I?

Looks like there are quite of few of us out there. I write mine out several times until I'm "happy" with how it looks. Although three kids in and I find I'm a bit happier a little sooner!!!! :) - Addie

I love grocery day as well!! It makes me feel such a sense of accomplishment! However I would have to hide my list if you ever saw me at the grocery store - I swear I am organized but I have chicken scratch for handwriting!

I don't like to grocer shop but my hubby is usually with me so that makes it better. We do our big shopping once a month and he types up the shopping list by store sections (we shop at Wal-Mart), food and non-food and he alphabetizes the lists.

Can I make a suggestion? Craft a perfect shopping list and then spill coffee all over it. Seriously, no re-dos. There's freedom in imperfection.

Hi Sarah,
I know what you mean about needing to write the list pretty! I redo mine too for the final copy! :) Have you noticed how in the grocery store, you feel more like cooking than anywhere else? :)

I hope you are doing well, and having a wonderful week! :)

I love to grocery shop too... and find that if I have my list and it's organized I save money. If I just run to the grocery I usually spend more... forget coupons etc.

Thursday is my "cleaning day". As long as work doesn't interfere! :)

My husband tells me I have to comment because I have some of the same, what he calls "issues!!!" I actually typed up my grocery list on the computer by isle in the order i shop Walmart. I left a few spaces under each section for special additions I don't have to buy each week. I also park in the same place and get just giddy when "God" saves me my favorite spot right by the cart return. I even silently struggle when I go with my hubby and he parks in the wrong section and wants to go in the wrong door!!! I guess he is right "ISSUES!!!" and I love it!!!
