My Tinker Bell

I received an enormous amount of clothes from a dear friend of mine whose daughters had outgrown them. She was incredibly generous sharing everything from 18 months all the way up to size 5. While I was going through some of them, I came across a bag full of princess costumes and shoes to match. Included was a Tinker Bell outfit. The sparkles caught Anna Claire's attention and while the rest of the clothes were packed away for a few more years, the shoes have stayed out. It doesn't even phase her that they are 4 sizes too big.

I wasn't really familiar with the story of Tinker Bell, only that she is in Peter Pan and then shows up randomly in other Disney movies so I thought I would find out more about her.

I found a description of her personality...."though sometimes ill-tempered....at other times she is helpful and kind to Peter. The extremes in her personality are explained in the story by the fact that a fairy's size prevents her from holding more than one feeling at a time, so when she is angry she has no counterbalancing compassion."

Who knew fairies and 18 month olds were so much alike?

She's just following a great line of shoeholics. Who can resist a great pair of shoes? I'll bet they even click on the floor when she walks! All the right things that make up a GREAT pair of shoes!
Her great-grandmother would be proud! (No, actually she's probably ask her if she wanted a pink pair too!)

I really enjoyed the pics. How precious, who wouldn't want those shoes. They go with anything, right? Thanks for the blueberry zucchini bread recipe that you posted. I am eating two slices right now. My My... It is a good thing that it makes two loaves. I think this is the best zucchini bread I have ever tasted. thanks for sharing.

Sarah... I LOVE these pictures because they remind me so much of another little girl at one time. She looks so big standing by the door!!!

Hi Sarah--
Ha! I can relate to the 18 month old syndrome, though Henry is also ALL boy! Destructive! :)

I've been thinking about your comment on your silver service that you use every day. I have a set from my grandmother and somehow it seems "too special" to use for every day, but you are making me re-think that! Is it stressful to worry about keeping it in good shape?

Also, strangely, I had a dream about you and Anna Claire last night. I think it's because I read your comment last night before bed. If we lived in the same town, I would invite you both for a playdate! :)
