A BABY!

Gotcha!!!!

This weekend, Mike and I traveled to Atlanta to visit his cousin Casey and his wife Ashley. They welcomed their first child into the world on Thursday night. Colten Seth weighed 8.5 pounds and is quite possibly one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Mike and I couldn't get enough of him! When Ashley was discharged from the hospital, you would have thought we were the ones taking the baby home. We listened intently to the discharge nurse and asked questions along with the new parents. We can't wait until our little girl gets here!

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks great. I am going to the doctor every 2 weeks now so it makes the time go by a little faster. I am measuring a week ahead of schedule, but my due date is still March 31. Mike was a 10 pounder so I am hoping that she slows down in her growth and I don't end up delivering a toddler.

Her room is almost done, we are painting the last pieces of furniture and will be getting new carpet installed before she arrives the end of March. I can't wait to show you the finished room!

Many of you have asked about her name.... (I) still haven't decided but I think we are getting closer. Mike continues to call her "no name baby" so the pressure is on!

Before we knew the sex of the baby, my hubby came up with "Sesame Seed" which now is just Seed. He came up with it because when we found out we were pregnant and bought the books (completely surprised of what had happened), the books told us that our baby was the size of a sesame seed. The name has stuck. My cousins call their son to be Mr. Bean ... so maybe you just need a nickname!

The weekly (or bi-weekly) appointments do help! I had weeklies for two months straight and might have to continue after visiting Wednesday. But the extra pictures are always WONDERFUL!

I'm glad I knew you'd been to Atlanta, or I would have been just as shocked as the rest of your readers! =)

Glad you got a good report yesterday; can't wait to see pictures of her room. And just dso you know, I'm already calling her Ellie, so you better just name her that. ;)

Did you try Target online? I'm not a huge fan of registering for things that are online only but they do have a few things that I wanted that the store didn't. Just a thought! :)

What a cutie!!!! I hope everything goes wonderfully smoothly ... and also that you do NOT give birth to a toddler. :D

Your last line made me laugh because it reminded me of how, when we were deliberating for a very long time about the name for our third son, Jeff started calling him "bli shem" which in Hebrew means "without a name." Fortunately, we came up with an alternative before birth! :)

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the nursery!

I can't wait to see the nursery! I can't believe you are already going every two weeks. Time flies! At least for us, you are probably so ready. :)

Sarah, our family knew what a great guy Mike is. He just needed you to complete him. I am so happy for you two and can't wait to see you at your shower as we haven't been able to have lunch.
