Anna Claire's Room

Here are some long overdue pictures of Anna Claire's room. The carpet was laid the afternoon I went into labor (I'll share the full story later about my day of labor) and while she was in the NICU we were able to take some time to put the rest of her room together.

My sister made this garland for her

My mom made all of the bedding, rocking chair cushions and curtains for the room, plus these adorable fabric blocks.

Everything on this shelf is special. The Humpty Dumpty plate is one that we used growing up, the books were gifts from my mom and her best friend, Anna Claire's first piggy bank (she already has $1). The cross stitch is something my mom made for me when I was in elementary school that hung in my childhood room and the far right is a picture that captures the moment Christy met me for the first time when I was brought home from the hospital. The shoes are the crib shoes Christy and I both wore.

This bookshelf was used in my niece's and nephew's room when they were growing up. Mike stripped it and painted it to look brand new!

We have our first doctor's appointment today with the pediatrician--her first outing!

Absolutely precious. I LOVE it! It is very much along the lines of what I would one day like for a nursery. Congrats on your little bundle of joy!!

I love it! Thanks for sharing. I just adore purple rooms. Maybe my daughter will want one when that time comes for her to be old enough to decide. :) Have fun on the first outing tomorrow!

Sarah, the bedding is perfect! I adore it! Your mom did a wonderful job. I especially love the fabric you chose and the big soft blocks! Too cute! The ragamuffin garland Christy made is the perfect touch above the sweet crib! I love how she added sheer ribbon or tulle to it!

Darron and Sarah,
Her room is absolutely beautiful and know you both are so glad she is home. Where are the little things that Frankie has sent to you. I must have missed a blog because I am not seeing any mention of her things. I am trying to get used to looking at your blog , did I miss a day? Hope you get my package okay. God Bless you three lovely people.

Her room is so sweet! I love that garland!! And the bedding and fabric blocks are so great! I had wanted to make some of those for Amelia, but never got around to it. Maybe I'll find time to for this baby. I'm sure she will have many sweet dreams in this room! ;o) You did it perfectly!
