My husband is up to something....or not

$29.99 charge to "Lavalife"
$15 charge to Netflix
$253.00 charge to QVC (yes...the shopping channel)

Here is the problem with these charges:

Lavalife is a dating service.

We already have a Netflix account.

My husband doesn't watch QVC (unless he has a secret obsession with Diamonique that I don't know about).

Yep, we're victims of identity theft.

Mike called Lavalife last night to explain the situation. When the operator answered he said, "I first want to make sure that you know that I'm not some creep that is cheating on my wife."

Thanks sweetie.

Oh my gosh! Do you have any idea how it happened? I'm so fearful of this.

Oh no!! How do you think it happened? That is scary. I hope it can get cleared up fast.

Wow! I'm so sorry about that! It makes me want to pay for that service that protects your identity - the one where the man gives out his SS number to prove how safe it is!

Praying that it gets cleared up quickly. ;-) Until then, I hope Mike orders you something pretty from QVC!

I hate theives. I went through idenity theft and it took me 2 years to get it mostly sorted out. I still have problems that I am fight to date and that was five years ago

Sounds like a sticky problem. Mike shopping on QVC and Lavalife made me chuckle, though I know it's not really a funny situation! I hope it's resolved quickly.

Oh Sarah... how awful. This happened to us when Jim's credit card was stolen years ago. Stay on top of it! We had to deal with our issue a couple of different times years later.

This happened to us when someone stole our mail from our mailbox once. We got the police involved and I have not put mail in the box again.

Oh my, good luck with getting all of that straightened out. My husband had his wallet stolen last summer and that itself was a mess.

Oh Sarah. I'm sorry. You know how I feel about this whole thing. FWIW, we're really happy with our LifeLock service thus far. ;)

Like Mike's humor. That happened to me in December. I was at Target on Thursday in Colorado for real, and then magically I was at Target the next morning in California for a $253 bill. Weird, since I was on the ski slopes in Breckenridge at the time!

Haha! Oh Sarah, that stinks! I'm only laughing at your hubby's comment - how cute!

So how are you and baby?

Oh my gosh, what a difficult situation to be in--good that you could write about it with such humor!

Oh no! That completely stinks! I hope you are able to get it cleared out without too much damage or hassle!

Ugh. What a pain. We had a business credit card number stolen a couple years ago. What a nightmare! Hope you can straighten it out fast. Love hubbies statement.

What a bummer! Hope you are able to clear it up quickly. My Uncle had this happen once and he had to get the FBI involved (they're in DC) and it took quite some time for him to continuously stay on it. Prayers for stamina and it to resolve soon. Blessings.

Oh no, I hope you are able to get everything fixed! I have been more and more concerned about identity theft lately...I am thinking that we should get identity theft protection ASAP!

I hope you are having a good week! :)
