Three Generations

Me, Anna Claire and Didi (my mom)
She finally has all of the tubes off of her pretty face!
Anna Claire continues to do well and amaze us all! She gained 3 ounces in one day and has now surpassed her birth weight. The nurse said if she continues at this rate she will be driving herself out of the hospital!
We know we are close to bringing her home because yesterday the nurse told us some things that we need to do in preparation for her to be home with us. The NICU at Baptist Hospital in Nashville is amazing! They have the parents watch a child CPR video and also a preemie care video so that you don't feel so overwhelmed when you are finally able to take your child home. We will also be taking her car seat in this week to see how she fits. She has to be able to sit in the car seat without any "spells" and/or her heart rate dropping for 30 minutes (the drive home). If she can do that, that is one more thing to check off the list.
We love her so much!

Congratulations! I know you're thrilled by her progress and look forward to taking your sweet baby home. I rejoice with you.

Love, love, love her name! We had chosen Anna Claire as the name for our second daughter, then chose to adopt a boy (and found something much more appropriate for him!). Makes my heart skip a beat when I hear it, though!

She looks like a little doll and so much more comfortable with out the tubes! I know you can't wait to get her home to enjoy every minute with her.
